The Giant Mountains are the highest and most visited Czech mountains with the Snezka (1.602 m AMSL). The biggest part of the 40 km long mountain range is the national park on the bohemian side and together with the Polish part it is one of the biggest nature reserve areas in Central Europe. The mighty mountain range features numerous hiking trails with a total length of 700 km, which are partly adjusted for bikers (27 tours over 400 km). You can also admire the poetic scenery of the foreland with its traditional architecture and historical sights. You can expect famous places like Spindleruv Mlyn with summer alpine slides, Harrachov with waterfall Mumlava, Pec pod Snezkou with cable car to the Snezka, spa town Janske Lazne with a spa colonnade, Rokytnice nad Jizerou with horse back riding possibilities or the small town Svoboda nad Upou with typical buildings.
